While at Bellingham Makerspace, I updated the flow and information content of
the website, resulting in a 75% decrease of calls regarding information and a
huge SEO boost. It had previously contained irrelevant pages, too much
information on the homepage, and a confusing login section that didn’t do much.
Wording was retooled across all subpages that remained as well. Though I had to
work within the constraints of Wordpress, I did my best and most of what I did
still remains to this day.
I also worked to formalize and standardize the branding across Makerspace
documentation and media, as that had been woefully inconsistent and lacking
in most cases. I began with the existing logo, and came up with the below
guidelines for everyone to use, even simplifying the process by generating
templates in our Drive.

I also curated content for social media and created monthly Mailchimp
newsletters that were easy to read and informative without being overly
wordy.
